- This position is available only to enrolled American University students.
- Most student positions at American University are eligible to use Federal Work Study (FWS) awards, with a few exceptions.

- This position contributes to the Lab's impact by assisting with day-to-day activities, events, and promotion of services and initiatives.
- Staff the Lab during opening hours.
- Open or close the Lab as needed.
- Assist Lab visitors with technology, furniture, or meeting spaces.
- Provide recommendations to visitors on suitable Lab technology or equipment for their research needs.
- Direct visitors with questions to the appropriate Library unit and/or person for further assistance.
- Contribute to various administrative projects for the Lab as assigned.
Compensation
- $18.40 per hour.
