About the role

  • Safety Compliance: - Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. - Participate in safety training and adhere to company policies regarding equipment operation.
  • Collaboration: - Work closely with warehouse staff, supervisors, and other departments to ensure efficient operations. - Communicate effectively with team members regarding material needs and inventory levels.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-operational checks on forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
  • Organize and maintain inventory in a systematic manner.
  • Assist in inventory counts and maintain accurate records of materials handled.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
  • This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid forklift operator certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Basic computer skills for inventory management systems.

Nice to have

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience operating sit-down forklifts and reach trucks is preferred.

Skills

  • Proficient in operating sit-down forklifts and reach trucks, as well as other material handling equipment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Working Conditions:
  • Work is performed in a warehouse environment, which may include exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
  • May require standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
