About the role

  • Join our fast‑paced and passionate team as a Principal Electrical Engineer (Level 5).
  • In this role, you will shape the technical direction of our electrical and RF systems as we scale.
  • Your work will directly impact our roadmap, reliability, and long‑term scalability.

Responsibilities

  • Own electrical system architecture and guide implementation across engineering teams.
  • Lead the design, development, analysis, documentation, and testing of products, systems, and subsystems.
  • Produce and review formal design documentation, including architecture definitions and design synthesis.
  • Perform advanced modeling and simulation of electrical and RF circuits.
  • Manage the relationship with PCB vendors and fabrication partners to ensure the build quality and manufacturability.
  • Lead root‑cause investigations and drive corrective actions for complex failures.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans and oversee execution and reporting.
  • Startup Mindset: You thrive in ambiguity and enjoy building processes, systems, and infrastructure from scratch.
  • Provide technical leadership across electrical and RF design efforts, setting design standards, methodologies, and review practices.
  • Lead complex engineering programs from concept through production, including requirements definition, architecture development, risk assessment, and cross‑functional alignment.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, ECE, or a related field
  • advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience, ideally including startup or high‑growth environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise designing RF circuits in the 200 MHz to 20 GHz range.
  • Deep experience with low‑noise analog design, high‑performance signal chains, and RF system integration.
  • Proven track record designing RF PCBs with low loss, low crosstalk, and high signal integrity.
  • Experience with Altium Designer is a plus.

Skills

  • Proficiency with simulation tools such as SPICE for modeling and performance analysis.
  • Strong familiarity with vendor ecosystems and component selection strategies.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Oversee schematic capture, BOM strategy, and lifecycle management.
  • Direct PCB layout efforts and ensure high‑quality manufacturing outputs.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and technicians.
  • The expected annual salary range for this position is $190,000-$235,000.
