About the role
- Legato, LLC recruiters (Staffing@legatocorp.com) would love to speak with you regarding the following position: Senior Systems Engineer in Hanover, MD or in Laurel, MD.
- The System Engineer guides system development and implementation planning through the assessment and preparation of system engineering management plans, system integration plans, and test plans.
- They interact with the customer regarding systems engineering technical considerations and resolve associated problems, issues, and conflicts.
Responsibilities
- The System Engineer analyzes user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
- This role analyzes system requirements and leads design and development activities.
- They provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology while incorporating new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations.

Requirements
- Strong systems engineering background and experience.
- Experience with AWS/cloud environments, dashboard fundamentals, metrics, DoDAF diagrams, requirements development, and technical documentation.
- Basic scripting experience is desired but not required.
- IAT Level II Certification required by the start date.
- A bachelor's degree in a related discipline is required.
- Five (5) additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree, for a total of twenty-five (25) years of experience.

Compensation
- $220,000-$250,000, depending on experience.
