About the role

  • Echodyne offers the world's first compact solid-state true beam-steering radar for a wide range of industries and applications.
  • Echodyne offers its radars to companies working in Automotive, Transportation, Critical Infrastructure Protection, Border Security, Smart Cities, Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS), and Airspace Management including Urban Air Mobility (UTM).

Responsibilities

  • Drive the design and implementation of robust interfaces that ensure reliability in "disconnected" or high-latency environments.
  • Support the growth of engineers on the edge team, ensuring high standards for code quality, AWS integration best practices, and pragmatic development.

Requirements

  • You are comfortable going deep into on-device logic while simultaneously navigating AWS services to ensure a seamless "edge-to-cloud" connection.
  • You are a builder and a driver, ensuring that the components living on the radar are built with clarity, reliability, and real-world mission constraints in mind.
  • Hands-on Edge Development: Strong proficiency in high performance languages like Rust or C++, with a focus on building middleware or services that live directly on hardware/client devices.
  • AWS API & Service Expertise: Deep experience working with AWS IoT Core, AWS SDKs, and RESTful APIs.
  • Collaborate in Tandem: Work closely with the Principal Cloud Tech Lead to implement the contracts and protocols required for secure, high-throughput device-to-cloud communication.
  • Echodyne's technology is export controlled by the U.S. Government and we must evaluate an applicant's eligibility to handle export-controlled information or obtain required Government authorizations.
  • Required Experience

Nice to have

  • Strong proficiency in high performance languages like Rust or C++, with a focus on building middleware or services that live directly on hardware/client devices.
  • Python experience a nice to have.

Skills

  • Deep experience working with AWS IoT Core, AWS SDKs, and RESTful APIs.
  • Understanding of the tiered software stack, from on-device telemetry and middleware to the cloud-side ingestion layers.

Compensation

  • The expected annual salary range for this role is
  • $137,196 - $205,382 USD
