About the role
- Adjunct Clinical Instructors are responsible for teaching and evaluating students in the clinical environment.
- This position is for the Kansas City campus and reports to the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs and Department Chair.
- The position of Adjunct Instructor is considered a temporary position for the term of the contract.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with department faculty to ensure alignment with program objectives.
- Collaborate with nursing faculty to prepare for clinical, lab, and simulation instruction.
Requirements
- This position requires a formal degree in the cited discipline area(s) to ensure that candidates have the foundational knowledge and skill set required to perform the duties of the position.
- Master's degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
- Maintain accurate records as required by administrative guidelines and legal standards.
- Attend all required orientations.
Nice to have
- Work Experience:
- Experience teaching in a nursing program, with a least one (1) course taught.
- Two (2) years of relevant patient experience.
- Experience precepting and/or mentoring nurses.
