About the role
- You'll translate complex spacecraft, payload, and mission engineering into clear, accurate, and persuasive documentation for commercial and US government audiences.
Responsibilities
- Lead proposal writing and coordination: interpret solicitations (RFPs, RFIs, BAAs), build compliant outlines and compliance matrices, draft and edit technical and management volumes, and drive documents to on-time submission
- Partner across the organization to ensure documentation is accurate, consistent, and delivered on schedule under competing priorities
Requirements
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a portfolio that shows the ability to make complex technical content clear and persuasive
- Ability to interview subject-matter experts and independently produce accurate technical content from sparse or rough inputs
- Ability to manage multiple documents and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced, autonomously driven, and demanding startup atmosphere
Nice to have
- Experience with spacecraft, satellite, or payload programs
- Familiarity with government contracting vehicles, CDRLs, DIDs, and proposal compliance practices
- Proficiency with graphics and layout tools (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, or equivalent)
- APMP certification or equivalent proposal-management credential
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time <span data-ccp-props="{"134233117"
- Additional Requirements
- Distill inputs from mission engineers, program managers, and other SMEs into clear, accurate, and compelling narratives tailored to the audience
- Bachelor's degree in English, communications, journalism, engineering, a science discipline, or related field
