About the role
- The position sits in the company's legal department but will have direct contact supporting most company departments and our international subsidiaries.
- This job is based at our Ipswich, MA headquarters.
- Draft, negotiate, and administer various legal agreements, including confidentiality agreements, material transfer agreements, and other commercial agreements.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, manage and monitor contract performance to determine necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts, and compliance to contractual obligations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (BA or BSc) required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, or equivalent knowledge through relevant work experience.
- Strong ability to interpret contract scope, terms, and the impact of contractual obligations on the company's financial performance.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
Nice to have
- Prior experience as a Paralegal or Contracts Specialist
- Senior Contracts Specialist experience preferred.
Skills
- Demonstrated creative problem‑solving skills and experience in process improvement.
Compensation
- Estimated pay range for this position is $38.00 -$45.00 per hour

- The primary focus of the Paralegal role will be preparing, reviewing and negotiating non-disclosure agreements, material transfer agreements, and various sales, services and other contracts including corporate compliance, corporate governance and international business.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, in-house attorneys, customers, distributors, and vendors to negotiate contracts and memorialize business objectives.
