About the role

  • Location: Hematology Oncology of Indiana Pay Range: $64,355.20 - $126,339.20 Job Description Summary: Plans, directs, and evaluates the overall clinical care and functions.
  • Oversees the activities of the clinical areas and directs, organizes, and assigns work to the clinical team that includes nurses, medical assistants (if applicable), lab (if applicable) and pharmacy technician(s).
  • Assesses, monitors, and educates all clinical staff on patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively hire, coach and support staff develop, as applicable, as well as manage resources, performance and employee relations, and supervise within established policies, procedures and legislation.
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
  • Maintains knowledge of oncology nursing and clinical operations.
  • Actively support and maintain knowledge of clinical trials and ECOG.
  • Maintain knowledge of Nucleus medication dispensing system.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required.
  • Oncology Nurse certification (OCN) required.
  • Compliance with the company Driver Safety Operations and Motor Vehicle Records Check Policy is required.
  • Must be detailed oriented with the ability to exercise independent judgment.
  • Ability to work effectively with sensitive and confidential material and sometimes emotionally charged matters.

Nice to have

  • Three (3) years of management experience preferred.

Skills

  • Good command of the English language.
  • Second language is an asset but not required.
  • Effective communication skills (oral, written, presentation), is an active listener, and effectively provides balanced feedback.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook required.

  • Travel: Standard Core Workdays/Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Compensation

  • $64,355.20 - $126,339.20

Benefits

  • Oversee the completion of DME, insurance forms, FMLA and disability application forms.
  • Coordinate with purchasing department to ensure PAR levels are maintained to assure sufficient stock and to minimize waste.
  • Collaboration with ancillary departments to ensure required annual task/education is complete and timely.
