About the role
- Location: Hematology Oncology of Indiana Pay Range: $64,355.20 - $126,339.20 Job Description Summary: Plans, directs, and evaluates the overall clinical care and functions.
- Oversees the activities of the clinical areas and directs, organizes, and assigns work to the clinical team that includes nurses, medical assistants (if applicable), lab (if applicable) and pharmacy technician(s).
- Assesses, monitors, and educates all clinical staff on patient care.
Responsibilities
- Effectively hire, coach and support staff develop, as applicable, as well as manage resources, performance and employee relations, and supervise within established policies, procedures and legislation.
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
- Maintains knowledge of oncology nursing and clinical operations.
- Actively support and maintain knowledge of clinical trials and ECOG.
- Maintain knowledge of Nucleus medication dispensing system.
Requirements
- Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required.
- Oncology Nurse certification (OCN) required.
- Compliance with the company Driver Safety Operations and Motor Vehicle Records Check Policy is required.
- Must be detailed oriented with the ability to exercise independent judgment.
- Ability to work effectively with sensitive and confidential material and sometimes emotionally charged matters.
Nice to have
- Three (3) years of management experience preferred.
Skills
- Good command of the English language.
- Second language is an asset but not required.
- Effective communication skills (oral, written, presentation), is an active listener, and effectively provides balanced feedback.
- Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook required.
- Computer
- Travel: Standard Core Workdays/Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
Compensation
- $64,355.20 - $126,339.20
Benefits
- Oversee the completion of DME, insurance forms, FMLA and disability application forms.
- Coordinate with purchasing department to ensure PAR levels are maintained to assure sufficient stock and to minimize waste.
- Collaboration with ancillary departments to ensure required annual task/education is complete and timely.
