About the role

  • This position is onsite at least 4x a week at our New Rochelle office.
  • Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 *The base salary range represents the low and high end of the expected salary range for the position.
  • The base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors such as geographic location, experience, education, and skill level.

Responsibilities

  • Design easy-to-use, engaging, intuitive user experiences and interfaces for a variety of projects and applications with consideration to end-user platforms/browsers.
  • Present designs for review and positively accept constructive feedback to be able maintain fast-paced design-build cycles
  • Apply knowledge of HTML/CSS and an understanding of how compositions translate to code in order to deliver best in class designs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand requirements and processes in relation to contextual user behavior for design proposals
  • Attention to detail and mastery of information design
  • Produce high-quality solutions through flow diagrams, graphic designs, storyboards and site maps.
  • Work closely Editorial, Design, and IT departments and company personnel to refine user experience and performing usability tests on software products or website features to ensure functionality.
  • BEC monitors research outcomes carefully to create effective foundational resources that include strong decoding materials with systematic and explicit instruction and high-quality resources focused on language development and comprehension.
  • BEC's content-rich and authentic texts offer instruction in close reading and analysis, multiple perspectives, and authentic literature while building world knowledge and reflecting the individuality of every student in each diverse classroom.

Requirements

  • 3 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree in digital design or related field.
  • Knowledge of all relevant industry tools and software

Nice to have

  • Ability to write HTML, CSS, JS skills a big plus.

Compensation

  • $65,000 - $75,000
