About the role

  • We're looking for a person responsible for measuring all critical business aspects related to the assigned team while clearly communicating information to plant leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and monitor individual and team goals which are aligned with the organization's strategies and objectives to drive key business results.
  • Manage all aspects of assigned area including, but not limited to, projects, production, costs, scheduling, shipping, receiving and quality. Ensure on-time delivery of the product, within budget, and meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
  • Drive root cause problem solving to address vendor, supplier and customer issues concerning quality and delivery.
  • Lead the development and implementation of lean principles and continuous improvement projects to improve cost, quality, and safety standards for assigned area.
  • Encourage team member development and engagement. Create an environment for team members to learn and grow.
  • Ability to lead others in alignment with the Vermeer characteristics and behaviors.
  • The equipment we make manages natural resources, connects people and feeds and fuels communities.
  • In this role you will lead all activities of the assigned team, including safety, quality, fulfillment, cost, and inventory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with minimum one year manufacturing experience or minimum five years' experience in manufacturing.
  • Ability to prioritize assignments to meet deadlines.
  • Frequently (up to 15 degree flex)
  • Bending - Neck: Frequently (up to 15 degree flex)
  • Manage required documentation to meet Vermeer internal and external regulations.

Nice to have

  • Continuous improvement experience preferred.
  • Understanding of lean principles.
  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish preferred.
