About the role
- Transports patients and completes errands.
Responsibilities
- Documents the care provided in patient record.
- Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of unit including patient/unit equipment.
- Cleans and maintains patient/unit equipment (i.e. over-bed tables, bed pans, bedside commodes).
- Demonstrates empathy and interacts with patients, visitors, and all personnel in a courteous, helpful manner; able to resolve conflict in a constructive manner; able to maintain confidentiality regarding patients, families and co-workers; demonstrates respect for individual cultural and social differences.

- Provides for patients' daily living activities; maintains safe and clean environment, maintains supplies, maintains equipment function.
- With direction from RN assists in direct patient care tasks (i.e. performs EKGs, blood glucose monitoring, specimen collection, dressing changes, colostomy care and documentation of vital signs).
Requirements
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross required within new hire period.
Nice to have
- Previous nursing assistant experience preferred.
- State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification preferred.
Compensation
- You will be required to comply with this program, which will include obtaining an influenza vaccination on an annual basis or obtaining an approved exemption.
