- Day (United States of America) Psychiatric Counselor The Psychiatric Counselor is responsible for conducting Psychosocial Assessments for patients 14 and up.
Responsibilities
- Perform CAP assessments throughout the hospital upon request for a consult.
Benefits
- Master's Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited school
- Prior experience working with Behavioral Health/Substance Abuse patients and/or performing CAP assessments preferred
- Provide patient/family education regarding their diagnosis and treatment.
- Provide staff and community education/services.
- Provide back-up coverage for ED psychiatric screeners and assist Psychiatric ED with Discharge/Transfer plans when needed.
