About the role

  • The successful candidate will work closely with attending physicians, fellows, nursing staff, and cath lab personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered care throughout the continuum of the interventional cardiovascular experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support procedural documentation and communication with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Manage vascular access sites and post-procedural recovery.

Requirements

  • DEA certification (or ability to obtain).
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, team-based environment.
  • Prior experience in:
  • Experience managing complex cardiovascular patients.
  • Familiarity with invasive cardiovascular procedures and post-procedural care.
  • The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong clinical judgment, and is excited by the opportunity to help shape the future of interventional cardiovascular medicine.
  • Required
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current NCCPA certification or AGACNP-BC certification.
  • Acute Care certification if NP
  • Eligibility for Pennsylvania licensure.
  • BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

  • Assist interventional cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
  • Participate alongside physicians in coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), peripheral vascular interventions, and other advanced catheter-based therapies.
  • Assist with vascular access management and procedural workflow.
  • Participate in patient monitoring and assessment during procedures.
  • Facilitate efficient patient throughput and procedural coordination.
  • Conduct focused cardiovascular assessments and histories.
  • Review diagnostic studies, laboratory data, and imaging.
  • Assist with procedural planning and patient preparation.
