We are seeking a high-caliber Welder & Fabricator to join our precision manufacturing team in Oak Ridge.
We are a specialized manufacturer producing critical, custom components for the aerospace and defense industries.

Measurement & Validation: Inspect and validate finished products using precision measurement tools, ensuring strict compliance with high-tolerance aerospace standards.
Process Troubleshooting: Act as a technical problem-solver on the floor, collaborating with engineering to optimize fabrication processes and figure out complex builds.
Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on welding and fabricating equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Blueprint Literacy: Strong ability to read, interpret, and build directly from complex mechanical blueprints and drawings.

Prior qualification to AWS and ASME codes, or proven history of passing rigorous non-destructive testing (NDT) like X-Ray and bend tests.
Industry Experience: Previous experience in a high-spec Aerospace or Defense manufacturing environment familiar with ISO 9001:2015, AS9100D, and Nadcap standards.
Fabrication Experience: 5-10 years of professional experience with a heavy emphasis on custom metal fabrication and precision welding.
Welding Mastery: High proficiency in both MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) welding across various materials, notably steel and aluminum.
Measurement Skills: Deep expertise in measurement and validation, with a sharp attention to detail for close-tolerance work.
Code Qualifications: Prior qualification to AWS and ASME codes, or proven history of passing rigorous non-destructive testing (NDT) like X-Ray and bend tests.
5-10 years of professional experience with a heavy emphasis on custom metal fabrication and precision welding.

Basic ability to operate manual equipment (mills, lathes) to support fabrication and secondary operations is a great bonus.
