About the role

  • include routine, project, and deep cleaning throughout the year, as well as responding to emergencies or unforeseen situations when needed.
  • This role requires basic custodial knowledge and skills, including hard floor care, carpet care, and sanitation practices.

Responsibilities

  • Perform waste removal, including trash and recycling.
  • Clean windows, glass, and building entries.
  • Occasional schedule flexibility may be necessary to support university events, which may include weekends and holidays.

Requirements

  • Applicants claiming preference are responsible for providing required documentation by the closing date of the position.

Nice to have

  • 1+ year of previous work experience in an operational environment.
  • Experience with small and large tools required for essential tasks (floor care equipment, mop/mop bucket, dust mop, broom, scrub pad, etc.).
  • Familiarity with work order related software.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to interact professionally with staff and respond to inquiries courteously.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to follow written and oral instructions effectively.
  • Basic decision-making abilities to assess and address cleaning and maintenance needs.
  • UCF policy requires completion and passing of a physical exam for this position.

Compensation

  • Friday (3:00 PM to 11:30 PM) (eligible for 5% shift differential pay)
