About the role

The VP of Accounting will serve as a key contributor in financial planning, reporting, operational analysis, and strategic decision-making across the organization.
Chicago, IL This is an in-person position.
Remote candidates will not be considered.

Partner directly with the CFO on financial strategy, planning, and organizational growth initiatives
Lead and support budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow management
Monitor liquidity, working capital, and overall financial performance to optimize organizational resources
Analyze financial data and operational trends to support executive decision-making
Help develop and improve financial controls, reporting processes, and operational efficiencies
Collaborate with dealership leadership to drive accountability and performance

Active CPA license required
Advanced proficiency in accounting systems, Microsoft Excel, and Google Workspace

A Senior CPA or Accounting Manager within a public accounting firm seeking a transition into executive leadership
A Dealership Controller with a CPA looking to take the next step into a strategic finance role
A finance professional who wants to become more than an accountant and play a meaningful role in the future direction of a growing organization
Experience in automotive retail is preferred, but not required
Experience within dealership accounting operations is a plus, including exposure to AP/AR, billing, contracts, licensing & titling, and dealership financial operations.

$125,000 - $175,000 annually (based on experience, credentials, and industry background)
