About the role

  • This role is remote, with occasional travel to our Houston or Tampa office as needed.
  • The Clinical Nutrition Technician will help to gather key nutrition information, aid in nutrition visit preparation, assist with caregiver communication, and help ensure efficient workflow.
  • All work is completed under the supervision of an RD.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre-visits with caregivers to obtain dietary recalls, food preferences/dislikes, texture aversions, eating habits, and daily meal schedules to support the RD's assessment.
  • Collect, document, and log calorie counts submitted by caregivers to support nutritional monitoring.
  • Assist with nutrition scheduling, including rescheduling appointments, helping caregivers find appropriate appointment types, and coordinating with the scheduling team to optimize clinic availability.
  • Attend daily huddles and collaborate with the care team to support coordinated nutrition care.
  • Support smooth, patient-centered workflow by maintaining organization, ensuring timely documentation, and communicating clearly with caregivers and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in nutrition, Dietetics, Nutritional Science required
  • Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required
  • State licensure as a DTR where applicable, required
  • 2+ years of experience post-graduation

Nice to have

  • Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred
  • Pediatric patient care, strongly preferred
  • Virtual care experience a plus
