About the role

  • You will become proficient in all tests that pertain to evaluating the quality of plant produced asphalt as well as aggregates that make up this asphalt, and other materials to ensure they meet NCDOT specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Input test data into HiCAMS and maintain an in-house Microsoft Excel database.
  • Maintain the laboratory equipment inventory list and ensure all equipment is in good working condition.
  • Strong Communicator: Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • In accordance with the Governor's Executive Order 303, our agency supports second-chance employment for individuals who were previously incarcerated or justice-involved.

Requirements

  • Organized and Multitasking Pro: Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Must have the ability to lift samples and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and be able to wear safety glasses and other personal protective equipment.
  • Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
  • Knowledge of techniques, practice, and testing procedures related to various materials

Compensation

  • NC11 $45,431.00 - $79,504
