About the role

  • Requires: Successful completion of the employment selection process, and experience in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Incumbent will be required to lift and carry up to 55 lbs and move up to 320 lb drums with mechanical assistance.
  • including, safety glasses with side shields, steel- toed shoes, uniform, hard hat/bump cap, gloves, hearing protection and dust mask or respirator (when required) is a must.
  • Lift Truck, heavy duty industrial mixers, Scales, Hand Tools, Truck Dock Equipment, Safety Equipment, and other equipment as required for operating production.
  • Operator will also be required to wear all PPE for safety (hard hat, safety glasses, long sleeve uniform, & respirator (as needed)).
  • Raw materials must be retrieved from the storage area, hand weighed and then placed on a pallet after being clearly marked with the appropriate PPG Champ code.
  • Must be current on all aspects of safety as detailed in the SOP's.

Nice to have

  • Successful completion of the employment selection process, and experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Must also possess problem solving skills, be capable of making logical decisions, and be capable of working without direct supervision and be focused on details and specification tolerances.
  • Teamwork, communication, and attention to detail are also essential.

Skills

  • Strong oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills are essential.
