About the role
- *Please note this is a 3rd shift role the schedule is Mon-Fri 7pm-5am* The Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all sanitation activities within the facility to ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards. This role leads a team of sanitation personnel, manages cleaning schedules, and supports
- continuous improvement in hygiene practices across production areas.
Responsibilities
- Maintain sanitation equipment and manage inventory of cleaning supplies and PPE.
- Supervisors are responsible for providing floor support when operational needs arise.
- Support third-party audits and internal quality assurance programs.
- Collaborate with QA, Maintenance, and Production teams to resolve sanitation-related issues and implement corrective actions.
Requirements
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Use of PPE required (e.g., gloves, goggles, boots).
- Must assist on the floor when team support is required.
- On Saturdays when the department is operating, supervisors are required to be available to respond, provide assistance, and coordinate as needed
- Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sanitation tracking systems.
- 3-5 years of experience in food manufacturing sanitation, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
Nice to have
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field preferred.
- HACCP certification or equivalent preferred.
Compensation
- $60k-$69k
