About the role

  • Where Hope Lives offers a long-term resident program for survivors of human trafficking which focuses on healing from trauma and regaining life skills to successfully live independently.
  • The CSLP student worker's work schedule is dependent on the hours of operations and needs of Where Hope Lives; however, CSLP student workers may not work more than 20 hours per week during the academic year (i.e., fall/spring).
  • Note: All FWS and FWS-CSLP positions require applicants to complete their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa to be reviewed for FWS-eligibility and awarded FWS.

Responsibilities

  • Provide encouragement and support to residents during their care such as being available for prayer or "talk times."

Requirements

  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a bachelor's program or master's program.
  • Maintain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
  • You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
  • Have passion and willingness to help others succeed.
  • Possess strong ethics, integrity, and sense of responsibility

Nice to have

  • Previous Mentoring a plus.
  • Ability to speak a second language a plus.
