- Position Overview The Licensed Master Social Worker provides assistance to patients and families in identifying social, emotional, environmental, and financial needs.

Responsibilities
- Gather and assess information regarding patients' physical needs, mental status, family support, financial resources, and potential barriers to care.
- Conduct psychosocial assessments of patients and families and develop plans to address identified needs.
- Develop personalized care plans in coordination with the patient, care providers, and patient support team.
- Provide psycho-social support to patients and their families or caregivers.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and statistical data.
- Interface with community organizations and programs to support patient resources.
- Maintain patient dignity, confidentiality, professionalism, and compliance with clinic policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Your expertise and advocacy will play an important role in helping patients access the resources and support they need throughout their care journey
Requirements
- Master's degree from an accredited School of Social Work.
- Knowledge of oncology disease processes and their effects on patients and families.
- Knowledge of insurance, state and federal regulations, and resources specific to oncology.
- Knowledge of social work theory, crisis intervention, and individual, group, and family therapy.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work assignments in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to analyze situations and respond in a timely manner.
- Ability to work effectively within multi-functional teams.
- Proficiency in computer applications including word processing and e-mail.
- Education & Experience
- Required:
- One (1) year of professional practice post-graduation.
- Preferred:
- Experience in Oncology or a healthcare setting.
- Credential/Licensure
- Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).
- Skills & Abilities
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
