About the role
- As the Head of Regulatory Policy, you'll shape the regulatory landscape across States to advance our mission of increasing energy reliability and affordability nationwide.
- You will also work closely with our business-development folks, teaming up to decide which markets to target and helping guide our entry.
- This role requires policy expertise, strategic vision, and a commitment to transforming the energy sector.
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead our regulatory strategy across States to advance Base's mission.
- Build and maintain relationships with energy commissioners at the state and national level, principals and staff at RTOs and ISOs, other state and federal policymakers, and industry groups to advocate for policies that enable our business success.
- Collaborate with internal teams (business-development, legal, operations, product, engineering) to align policy initiatives with business objectives and customer needs.
- A commitment to building a more reliable grid for all.
- Base's policy team owns the market rule landscape that determines how - and how profitably - Base can operate across every ISO we touch.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in the energy sector.
