Responsibilities

  • Lead assay development tasks to launch high-quality products for the BD Rhapsody™ platform, including feasibility studies, process and QC development, optimization, Verification & Validation, and tech transfer support
  • Drive the development work in collaboration with wet lab scientists, bioinformatics scientists, commercial and operational partners
  • Design and perform hands-on experiments to achieve development objectives
  • Compile analyses and develop protocols, technical notes, posters, and presentations showcasing Rhapsody platform performance
  • Provide scientific expertise to optimize current products and support the development of new product applications

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, biomedical sciences, or a related field
  • 8+ years of research experience, including 5+ years of industry experience in a related field
  • Extensive experience with RNA-seq and other next-generation sequencing techniques, including library preparation, sequencing, and data analysis
  • Experience with genomic assays using FFPE (formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded) samples
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • FFPE sample handling expertise
  • Experience with assay/reagent product development
  • Experience with spatial genomics and/or proteomics
  • Experience with single-cell multiomics assays
  • Experience generating assays for biopharma/translational market
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop assay products, critically analyze data, and maintain excellent experimental records
  • Immunology background

Compensation

  • $135,500.00 - $216,800.00 USD Annual
