About the role

  • Sony Pictures Imageworks is located on the unceded traditional territory of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations.
  • Summary: The Intermediate Production Coordinator reports directly to the Production Department Manager.
  • If remote, know the process for remote connection.

Responsibilities

  • Liaising between artists, leads and supervisors
  • Problem solving with team supervisors/lead and APM to ensure artists are hitting bid days and quota
  • Partnering with supervisors/leads and APM in evaluating artist abilities for shot assignments
  • Tracking of shot work and work within bid days and quota targets, with minimal support.
  • Willingness to help out and support others during periods of absence
  • Excel in working as a member of a team specifically in regards to communication, morale building and effective collaboration to reach a shared goal

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate must have coordinating experience in VFX Feature Film, CG Animation, and/or Game production, with good people and self management skills.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience working in VFX Feature Film, CG animation Feature Film, or Game production is required.

Skills

  • Have a solid understanding of production VFX and CG or Game scheduling
  • Have a solid understanding of Shotgrid
  • Be able to navigate who to speak to for artist queries relating to hardware and software license issues
  • Proactively schedule team assignments and flag potential inventory and delivery challenges
  • Willingness to learn and master all imageworks scheduling & tracking software
  • Acquiring resources & elements required to complete shot production within your assigned team
  • Diffusing inventory challenges
  • Have the ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment
  • Providing direct support to artist teams
  • Communicating with Creative teams while keeping Production informed
  • People and Self-Management
  • Problem solving and strategic planning.

Compensation

  • The anticipated base salary for this position is $22.36-$25.96 per hour.
