About the role
- This role requires physical endurance, attention to safety, and the ability to work in remote outdoor environments.
- The assistant plays a key role in ensuring efficient and safe core drilling operations.
Responsibilities
- Mix and manage drilling fluids and maintain circulation systems
- Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on drilling equipment
- Communicate effectively with the Lead Driller and crew
Requirements
- Ability to perform physically demanding labor (lifting 50+ lbs)
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand/power tools
- Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail
- Willingness to work long hours in outdoor and remote conditions
- Safety certifications (First Aid/CPR, OSHA/MSHA, H2S) are advantageous
Nice to have
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience in drilling, construction, mining, or similar field is a plus
- Valid driver's license preferred (CDL a plus)
