About the role
- We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our Gastroenterology clinic team.
Responsibilities
- Support physicians with in-clinic procedures (e.g., hemorrhoid banding, anoscopy) when applicable
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain clean, well-stocked exam and infusion rooms.
Requirements
- Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality where required
Nice to have
- Gastroenterology, Hepatology, Diagnostic Endoscopy, Therapeutic Endoscopy, Infusion, and Advanced Therapeutics.
- High school graduate or equivalent is required
- Active CMA for the state of Iowa is required
- Two (2) year minimum experience within a clinical setting and/or gastroenterology preferred
- You'll also play a key role in scheduling tests, triaging patient concerns, and collaborating closely with physicians, infusion staff, and administrative teams to ensure a seamless patient experience.
