Responsibilities
- As a Mold Maker, you'll be responsible for building, assembling, repairing, and validating precision injection molds while ensuring every tool meets the highest standards for quality, accuracy, and performance.
- Build, fit, assemble, and repair injection molds from start to finish
- Perform final inspections, complete work documentation, and maintain material traceability
- Spot, troubleshoot, and validate molds to ensure proper function and performance
- Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools and specialized inspection equipment
- Develop and execute detailed mold build plans, including layout, calculations, templates, tooling aids, and verification of mold components
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate project status between shifts
Requirements
- Strong understanding of mold construction, assembly, repair, and troubleshooting
- Experience safely operating overhead cranes and forklifts
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb stairs and work in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and other protective equipment as required
