About the role
- This role is critical to ensuring rapid incident response, maintaining business continuity, and continuously improving security operations.
- The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with proven leadership skills and thrives in environments requiring quick decision-making and adaptability.
- The salary range for this role is from $123,700.00 to $204,100.00.
Responsibilities
- Participate in and lead response efforts for Priority 1 and Priority 2 incidents
- Lead a distributed team of U.S.-based and offshore engineers (FTEs and contractors)
- Support career growth through coaching, mentoring, and skill development
- Partner with Perimeter and Edge Engineering teams to align operations with design
- Support rollout and operationalization of new security capabilities
- Maintain accountability for production changes
- Drive measurable improvements in efficiency and security outcomes
Nice to have
- o Check Point and Cisco ASA firewalls
- o Proxy solutions
- o Web Application Firewalls (WAF)
- o Zscaler (preferred)
- Strong understanding of:
- o Routing protocols
- o Client/server architectures
- o Network traffic flow (ingress/egress)
Skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including use of metrics and data
- CCNP Security
- Or equivalent certifications
- Strong collaboration skills across technical and non-technical groups
- Experience providing strategic and operational guidance
- Reduced incident response and resolution times
- High uptime and stability of security infrastructure
- Strong stakeholder trust and communication during incidents
- Continuous improvement in team performance and operational effectiveness
- Work in a mission-critical security leadership role
- Collaborate with top-tier engineering and security teams
