About the role

  • This role is critical to ensuring rapid incident response, maintaining business continuity, and continuously improving security operations.
  • The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with proven leadership skills and thrives in environments requiring quick decision-making and adaptability.
  • The salary range for this role is from $123,700.00 to $204,100.00.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in and lead response efforts for Priority 1 and Priority 2 incidents
  • Lead a distributed team of U.S.-based and offshore engineers (FTEs and contractors)
  • Support career growth through coaching, mentoring, and skill development
  • Partner with Perimeter and Edge Engineering teams to align operations with design
  • Support rollout and operationalization of new security capabilities
  • Maintain accountability for production changes
  • Drive measurable improvements in efficiency and security outcomes

Nice to have

  • o Check Point and Cisco ASA firewalls
  • o Proxy solutions
  • o Web Application Firewalls (WAF)
  • o Zscaler (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of:
  • o Routing protocols
  • o Client/server architectures
  • o Network traffic flow (ingress/egress)

Skills

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including use of metrics and data
  • CCNP Security
  • Or equivalent certifications
  • Strong collaboration skills across technical and non-technical groups
  • Experience providing strategic and operational guidance
  • Reduced incident response and resolution times
  • High uptime and stability of security infrastructure
  • Strong stakeholder trust and communication during incidents
  • Continuous improvement in team performance and operational effectiveness
  • Work in a mission-critical security leadership role
  • Collaborate with top-tier engineering and security teams
