About the role

  • You will be instrumental in enabling new missions in the US by managing projects including early vehicle and subsystems development.
  • Desirable: - Familiarity with U.S. aerospace regulations, FAA licensing, and export control (ITAR/EAR). - Previous experience working in a startup or fast-growing aerospace company.

Responsibilities

  • Lead assigned System and Subsystem Projects including the management of cost, schedule, technical quality and risk
  • Support development of US government and commercial proposals, including the integration of cost, schedule and risk elements into cohesive bids.
  • Experience across the space systems lifecycle including requirements definition, design, assembly, integration, test, and operations.
  • Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary international teams.
  • The Exploration Company partners with Zinc Work Limited located in the UK (Zinc), a third-party provider, to ensure this process as efficient and transparent as possible.

Requirements

  • You will assist the Chief of Engineering on the Nyx project by providing your technical expertise in space projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, systems, electrical engineering or related technical field.
  • 10+ years of experience in space systems project management, systems engineering, or space systems development.
  • Experience with ISS resupply, LEO station logistics, or exploration programs.
  • Knowledge and experience with US contracting processes, including NASA and commercial space procurement.
  • Familiarity with U.S. aerospace regulations, FAA licensing, and export control (ITAR/EAR).
  • Due to federal regulations (e.g., ITAR/EAR), applicants must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents (e.g., current Green Card holders).

  • Support Business Development and Sales efforts with local and state-wide government and commercial customers. Build and maintain relationships with government agencies and commercial partners.
  • Support the engineering team in design, development, and certification activities, and assist in the execution of the verification tasks in cooperation with customers such as NASA.
