About the role

Facilitate individual and/or group therapy activities using curriculum-based materials and content and provide progress reports and documentation as needed.
Provide augmentative and alternative communication systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language disorders.
Encourage students to uphold our values and model mature behavior and good character in the classroom, on the school campus, and throughout their lives.

Supervise support staff as needed and consult with fellow educators regarding accommodations, needs, instructional strategies, necessary equipment and support.
Maintain courteous relationships with students, staff, parents, and community, treating all with respect.

Master's or higher degree in the field
The incumbent in this position will be required to pass a criminal history background check.
Being active in the role when lifting, sitting, standing, moving throughout the campus and traveling to other campuses as required.

Experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence - SLP

Duties are performed typically in school and/or office settings throughout the division.
May include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and/or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required.
Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time
hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone
speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone
