About the role
- Assist in troubleshooting, adjusting, repairing, and conducting preventative maintenance on Port Houston cranes.
- Learn and apply technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems to determine equipment malfunction and restore it to OEM standards
- Assist in inspection, repair, and maintenance of wharf and RTG cranes

- Knowledge of basic electronic troubleshooting and repairs
- Knowledge of environmental and security controls
- Ample knowledge of electricity, electrical systems and equipment operating at the PHA.
- Knowledge diagnostics and repair
- Knowledge of mechanics
- Knowledge of millwright repair and maintenance
- Read and use factory manuals and blueprints as required to fulfill job assignments
- Work required scheduled overtime hours and be available for unscheduled overtime when operating requirements or other business needs of Port Houston cannot be fulfilled during regular working hours
Nice to have
- High School diploma or GED equivalent required
- 2+ years electrical experience
- 2+ years related electrical experience required
- Electrician Journeyman License preferred
