About the role
- The Radiation Oncology Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive, evidence-based care to patients undergoing radiation therapy for cancer.
- Working collaboratively with radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, nurses, dosimetrists, social workers, and other members of the multidisciplinary oncology team, the NP evaluates, treats, educates, and follows patients throughout the continuum of care.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive history and physical examinations
- Manage acute and chronic toxicities associated with radiation therapy
