About the role

- This role sits at the intersection of law and investing, combining paralegal expertise with analytical rigor to evaluate and track investments in litigation.
- You will work closely with attorneys, investment professionals, and cross-functional teams to assess opportunities, monitor active matters, and produce clear, actionable insights.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze legal documents, case filings, and supporting materials to inform underwriting and portfolio monitoring
- Support due diligence efforts by evaluating counterparties, legal claims, and associated risks
- Organize, index, and maintain case files, investment documentation, and internal records
- Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, underwriting, operations, and technology teams
- Provide general support on special projects related to legal analysis, compliance, and investment operations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Political Science, History, Economics, Law, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency with legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills with the ability to synthesize complex legal and financial information
- Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly, both written and verbally
- 3-5+ years of relevant experience, such as: Paralegal experience at an AmLaw 200 or comparable firmLegal research, compliance, investigations, or litigation support roles
- Experience reviewing legal documents and managing case-related workflows
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and document management skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
Nice to have
- Exposure to financial analysis, underwriting, or investment-related work
- Familiarity with litigation finance, credit investing, or legal risk assessment
- Experience drafting memoranda or case summaries for decision-making purposes
