About the role
- You will work cross-functionally with electrical, software, and systems engineers in a fast-paced, gate-driven product development environment, set technical direction, and play a critical role in shaping a portfolio of products.

Responsibilities
- Drive mechanical design and integration across the H1, K1, and K7 programs through all phases of product development
- Develop enclosure, mounting, and packaging solutions for electronic components, including compute, sensors, and power systems
- Identify and manage thermal, structural, and ergonomic constraints in electromechanical systems
- Collaborate closely with electrical, software, and system engineering teams to resolve cross-functional tradeoffs
- Support development of test plans, fixtures, and validation activities to ensure product performance and reliability
- Work with external partners and vendors as needed to support design and manufacturing

- Knightscope is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our product development team and own mechanical engineering across multiple hardware programs, including H1, K1, and K7.
Requirements
- B.S or M.S degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in product development, with demonstrated independent ownership of electromechanical hardware programs from concept through production.
- Experience taking multiple hardware products from concept through production.
- Experience designing mechanical systems that integrate electronics
- Proficiency in CAD tools (Solidworks, Fusion360)
- Experience with different manufacturing techniques and materials.
- ability to work effectively with electrical, software, and systems engineering teams
- Proven ability to work independently and set technical direction
Nice to have
- Experience with soft goods, wearables, or body-worn products preferred
Compensation
- $170,000 - $185,000
