About the role
- The Interconnections Associate Planning Engineer will assist with interconnection studies for offshore wind, energy storage, public policy transmission and other new clean energy technology projects.
- This position does not provide employment pursuant to the terms of a STEM OPT Training Plan.
Responsibilities
- They will conduct substation power-flow and short circuit analyses, support identification of local and system upgrades to maintain reliable electric system operations.
- Additionally, they will support internal engineering activities, interface with NYISO and merchant developers, assess the impacts of new generation/transmission projects on the bulk electric system, assisting with development of recommended modifications for NYISO.
