About the role
- The Rigging and Equipment Operator is responsible for safely moving, lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting fabricated equipment throughout the manufacturing facility and yard.
Responsibilities
- Perform heavy lifting operations involving loads ranging from approximately 100 pounds to 200,000 pounds using approved lifting equipment and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- This role requires expertise in rigging practices, crane operations, forklift operation, load calculations, and equipment transportation to support production and shipping activities.
Requirements
- Ability to work around large industrial equipment and suspended loads.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to wear required PPE and work safely in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Experience with industrial rigging and heavy equipment movement.
- Experience operating forklifts, cranes, and commercial trucks/trailers.
- Ability to determine load weights and select proper rigging configurations.
- Knowledge of safe lifting and transportation procedures.
- Ability to read and understand load charts, rigging capacities, and shipping requirements.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- What will put you ahead:
- NCCCO Crane Certification.
- Forklift certification.
- CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
- Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, heavy industrial, or oil & gas environments.
- Physical Requirements:
- Frequently lift, push, pull, and move heavy materials.
