Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications, verify medication orders across shifts, and document patient responses accurately.
- Monitor and document fluid intake and output each
- shift; perform routine skin assessments and execute measures to prevent pressure ulcers.
- Operate clinical equipment including EKG machines, cardiac monitors, and defibrillators; deliver central line and ventilator care in accordance with facility policies.
- Educate patients and families on medications, therapies, and diagnostic procedures, and document their demonstrated understanding.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, particularly for candidates interested in specialized clinic assignments.
