Responsibilities
- Support laser system development, integration, testing, and fielding.
- Support acquisition documentation and engineering assessments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Optics, or related field.
- 10+ years supporting laser systems, directed energy, EO/IR, or advanced weapon systems.
- Travel Required: Occasional
- Travel Required: Up to 10% - If outside local area, must be able to travel to Pax River at least twice per month.
- Up to 10% - If outside local area, must be able to travel to Pax River at least twice per month.
- Military aviation or DoD acquisition experience highly desirable.

- Position Overview
- Provide targeted research and R&D expertise for various efforts involving aviation, engineering support, weapons systems, and program management support.
- Must be independent and able to conduct in-depth research and development.
- Analyze laser performance and operational effectiveness.
- Coordinate with government laboratories, test organizations, and OEMs.
- Provide subject matter expertise during technical reviews and program planning activities.
