About the role

  • The Admissions & Recruitment Coordinator II, with the working title of Admissions Counselor will report to the Associate Director of Admissions.
  • This Admissions Counselor will focus on the recruitment of first year students.
  • All duties shall be executed while demonstrating a commitment to access, belonging, and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to establish relationships with organizations, groups, and individuals that can influence prospective students.
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to identify prospective students and encourage them to apply for admission.
  • Identifies, promotes, and maintains internal and external partnerships focusing on outreach, recruitment, and admission
  • Coordinate and implement a personalized recruitment program involving high school visits, phone calls, correspondence and campus visits.
  • Identifies opportunities for and develops admissions and outreach events
  • Maintain and Manage Tracking System of Prospective Students
  • Maintain appropriate records to monitor recruitment, tracking students from inquiry to enrollment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (degree must be posted by start date)
  • Ability to lift and transport materials up to 35 lbs.
  • Extensive auto travel is required year-round, especially during the fall and spring recruitment seasons, primarily in the Midwest.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and maintain work authorization throughout the employment term.

Nice to have

  • Strong organizational and event planning skills.
  • Ability to use and learn multiple computer technologies (such as Peoplesoft, ImageNow, Microsoft Office)
  • Experience working with students from various backgrounds.

Compensation

  • $46,000 / year
