About the role
- Our Canada Gas Operations group is seeking an experienced Damage Prevention Technician to join our Southern Ontario and Quebec Pipeline team, based in Mascouche, QC.
- The role is overtime eligible and will be part of an on-call rotating schedule in which you will be subject to call-out for emergency response.
- Week 1: Monday to Thursday 9 hours / day; Friday is an 8-hour day
Responsibilities
- Perform InfoEx line locates
- Perform gas leak surveys as reported by aerial patrols
- Complete work orders, enter data into job plans, create new notifications, etc. in SAP
- Operate and maintain natural gas pipelines and associated equipment
- Lead/manage the safe and efficient completion of low complexity projects to include the coordination and monitoring of contractor work activities or third-party active control
- Identify encroachment issues, report and manage unauthorized activities
Requirements
- 2 years relevant damage prevention experience
- Experience with utility locating equipment
- Proven encroachment, corrosion and crossings knowledge, skills, and experience
- Complete preventative and corrective maintenance PMs/CMs as required and close out work orders.
Nice to have
- Experience with Utilisphere, InfoEx and Geofind Software
- 5 years relevant work experience related to Pipelines or other related infrastructure
- Experience operating and maintaining high pressure natural gas pipelines and/or facilities
- Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and/or SAP experience
