About the role

As a key member of the Northpoint team, the Therapist/Counselor will oversee the therapeutic services provided to a caseload of patients.
This individual will act as the treatment plan coordinator for the multi-disciplinary team in the development and implementation of the master treatment plan and the discharge plan for each patient.
The Therapist/Counselor will complete all documentation associated with these duties in a professional and timely manner.

Document clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment plan, diagnostic summaries, and progress charting in a timely manner to assure comprehensive and quality patient care
Actively participate as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team and maintain effective working relationships with employees and peers
Maintain professional boundaries with patients at all times
This person will actively communicate with support staff, treatment teams, and outside agencies on treatment and safety issues pertaining to patients and their family members.
Maintain confidentiality in accordance with established policies and procedures and standards of care

Ability to work with a diverse population and possess strong interpersonal skills and knowledge required for treating patients assigned
The Therapist/Counselor will provide individual, group and family therapy for assigned patients, as required by contractual and licensure obligations.

Active, unencumbered NE mental health licensure
Master's Degree of Mental Health, Social Sciences or similar field
Must hold an mental health licensure in the state where treatment services are rendered
Provide orientation and education to patients, families and others to aid in the therapeutic process
Collaborate with assigned patients in the development of written treatment plans; include patient and family involvement in assessment, treatment, education and discharge planning
Provide clinical updates to utilization review and representatives of managed care to best coordinate reimbursement of treatment services
