About the role
- Principle Duties: Provide a high level of non-supervisory engineering work related to development testing, equipment qualification, factory acceptance testing, and commissioning activities.
- This would include stress analysis, strength of materials, materials science, vibration, and heat transfer.
Responsibilities
- The Design Value Stream function supports business needs and continuous improvement efforts through proper technical product and engineering principles, as well as appropriate development of employees and management.
- The Design Value Stream is a business unit that encompasses quoting, engineering, quality, project management, production planning and procurement.
Requirements
- Due to Federal Contract requirements, US Citizenship is required for this position.
- BSME and 5-10 years of experience related to testing and mechanical engineering design and analysis in the field of industrial rotating machinery such as pumps, turbines, or compressors.
- Professional Engineer Registration or ability to gain registration
- Ability to read & interpret engineering drawings, standards, and specifications
Nice to have
- Concentration in the power generation or chemical process industries is a plus.
- Exposure to Solid Modeling (SolidWorks preferred), drafting and GD&T practices
- Experience with NI DaQ systems and LabView preferred
- Experience with ANSYS and MathCad preferred
Compensation
- $100k-$160k
