About the role
- The Livestock Handler is responsible for the safe, efficient, and humane movement of hogs with minimal stress to the animals.
- This position requires strict adherence to Tyson Foods' humane handling policies and all applicable animal welfare guidelines.
- All Tyson Team Members share responsibility for maintaining a safe work environment and protecting product integrity.

Requirements
- Ability to lift 70 pounds or more unassisted and stand for extended periods of time 8 to 10 hours excluding beak time.
- Operate equipment such as skid loaders and forklifts when required
- ability to communicate with all levels of team members and government officials.
- Special Skills: Must be able to work in a very fast paced environment.

Nice to have
- A minimum of +1 prior experience working with and handling livestock in loading and unloading operations as well as experience with skid loaders and forklift operation is required.
- Experience with livestock handling in a procurement area of the meat industry is preferred.
- Prior knowledge and experience with humane animal handling procedures process and general policy in procurement is preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer knowledge is preferred.
