Responsibilities

  • Lead Safe Operations Create and reinforce a culture where safety is a core value and not simply a requirement.
  • Lead by example, ensuring all work is completed in accordance with company, client, and regulatory safety standards while holding crews and subcontractors accountable for safe work practices and continuous improvement.
  • Execute Successful Projects Take ownership of day-to-day field operations and drive projects to successful completion.
  • Build High-Performing Teams Develop strong, accountable crews by coaching, mentoring, and supporting Foremen, Operators, and field personnel.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous growth while helping identify and develop future field leaders within the organization.
  • Drive Operational Excellence Coordinate labour, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Manage Project Performance Monitor productivity, schedules, budgets, and resource utilization throughout all phases of construction.
  • Proactively identify risks, scope changes, and potential challenges, implementing solutions that protect project outcomes and support long-term profitability.
  • Build Strong Relationships Serve as the primary field representative of BC Eco Industrial Services by building trusted relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement Support the ongoing advancement of construction practices, leadership development, and operational systems across the organization.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of progressive leadership experience in civil construction.
  • Proven experience managing field operations on civil infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of: Underground utilities Earthworks Road construction Site development Experience coordinating crews, equipment, and subcontractors.

Nice to have

  • Underground utilities Earthworks Road construction Site development Experience coordinating crews, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Strong understanding of project scheduling, contract execution, and cost control.
  • Knowledge of provincial safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
  • Valid Driver's Licence.
  • Gold Seal Certification, PMP, or equivalent credentials.
  • First Aid and safety certifications.
