About the role
- For over 30 years, Gersh Autism has empowered students on the autism spectrum to reach their full potential.
- Serving individuals aged 5-21 across the U.S. and Puerto Rico, our network of K-12 schools provides personalized education tailored to each student's unique learning style.
- This full-time position will be based out of our Brooklyn and Long Island City schools, supporting both locations directly while also providing HR partnership to other locations.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic HR partner to site leaders across NY, NH, and WA, aligning HR initiatives with organizational goals.
- Identify, lead, and implement process improvements, leveraging technology to streamline HR workflows and reduce manual tasks.
- Develop and deliver engaging training programs for managers and staff on topics such as performance management, soft skills, coaching, and policy adherence.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3-5 years specifically as an HR Business Partner supporting leadership and driving strategic initiatives.

Requirements
- Must be able to keep students safe from themselves and others and, in some cases, may need to implement CPI (therapeutic holds) procedures.
- Must be able to remove oneself from potentially harmful situations and, in some cases, be able to lift a child.
Compensation
- $90,000-$135,000 (includes base plus KRA)
