About the role

  • This is a revenue carrying role with clear performance targets tied to advertising, data product growth, and subscriptions.
  • This role will be based in New York City, with 3+ days/week in-office.

Responsibilities

  • Build and grow partnerships with galleries, museums, art fairs, and art-adjacent businesses across advertising and our portfolio of commercial products.
  • Leverage your existing network within the art world to create immediate commercial opportunities and accelerate partnership growth.
  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting and relationship development through negotiation, closing, and renewal.
  • Develop strategic, consultative relationships with senior stakeholders across the art ecosystem.
  • Prefer highly structured environments with established playbooks rather than building processes and partnerships from the ground up.
  • Build a healthy, qualified pipeline quickly, identifying high-value prospects and moving them through the sales cycle with urgency.
  • This role is designed for someone deeply embedded in the art world who can open doors immediately - someone who has and can build trusted relationships with senior decision-makers across galleries, art fairs, museums, and art-adjacent businesses.
  • Engaging opportunities and internal programming globally, to foster new relationships and build upon our collaborative community.

Requirements

  • Rapidly develop a strong understanding of Artsy and Artnet's full product suite, audience, and market positioning.
  • Begin closing early deals, demonstrating your ability to convert relationships into revenue.
  • You have 7+ experience in advertising sales, digital media partnerships, or sponsorship sales, ideally within the art, luxury, culture, or lifestyle sectors.
  • You are highly relationship-oriented but also comfortable operating in a metrics-driven environment with clear pipeline and revenue accountability.
  • You are currently authorized to live and work in the United States.

  • Close multiple high-impact partnerships with galleries, institutions, and art-adjacent businesses
  • Operate as a high-performing contributor with a growing and well-managed pipeline.
  • Become a trusted external representative of Artsy and Artnet within the global art ecosystem.

Compensation

  • The base salary range for this role is $80,000-$120,000 annually.
