About the role

  • Coordinate receipt and handling of clinical samples within the core facility, collaborating closely with senior laboratory staff and administrative teams to ensure accurate repository updates and sample tracking.
  • Adhere to established laboratory standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols
  • Communicate daily progress, results, and any challenges to supervisors; work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient lab operations and share updates during group meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain meticulous and timely records of experiments, sample processing activities, patient-related data, and reagent/material usage in laboratory notebooks and study documentation.
  • Review scientific literature to support method development and optimization; troubleshoot procedures as needed and implement improvements to existing workflows.
  • Monitor and replenish laboratory supplies to support ongoing sample banking activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support core facility operations.
  • Adhere to established laboratory standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols; support assay validation efforts and contribute to drafting and updating SOPs and technical reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences.
  • Experience with handling clinical samples.

Skills

  • Attention to detail and strong record-keeping habits.
  • Ability to follow protocols while troubleshooting when needed.
  • Adaptability in a dynamic lab environment.
