About the role
- The successful candidate will have experience supporting programs and events, and strong organizational, technological, writing, and interpersonal skills.
- Answer incoming calls, take messages, redirect phone calls, and respond to e-mail inquiries.
- Collect and organize appropriate information and documentation for program access.
Responsibilities
- Manage intake applications, assess and determine program eligibility, and register citizens in CFS program(s).
- Create, maintain, and evaluate systems that will support the ongoing design, delivery, and evaluation of CFS programs.
- Create and distribute brochures, pamphlets, and social media content to advertise CFS Early Years programs.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with Métis families, communities, and internal and external partners.
- Ability to maintain a positive, helpful attitude and be empathetic and non-judgmental when assisting Métis Albertans.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.

Requirements
- Two to three years' experience in a similar role is an asset.
- Experience working with Indigenous communities is an asset.
- Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends is required, with notice.
- Some travel within Alberta is required, with notice.
- Must have a Class 5 driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Acceptable attainment of a Police Information Check with a Vulnerable Sector Check and an Intervention Record Check is required.
- Calculate, track, request, and distribute accurate financial reimbursements based on program criteria, where required.
- An academic or employment background in administration and/or Children and Family Services is an asset.
